Trent 900, Trent 1000 Stennis Space Center, MS engine testing facility Rolls-Royce International Ltd. will spend $42 million to open a jet engine test complex at Stennis Space Center. It will test engines for performance, noise and other factors. Slated to be tested are the Trent 900 and Trent 1000, used on Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Testing will begin in 2007. Rolls-Royce is closing test operation in the United Kingdom because of encroachment issues. |
